Brave Girls’ {Soul Restoration} Blog Hop – March 5 – 6, 2011

Welcome to the Soul Restoration Blog Hop. If you’re following the hop you came here from Rebecca’s Blog, Flyover Pilgrim. I’m very grateful for having you visit me and allowing me to share my experience taking The Soul Restoration Workshop with Melody Ross.

Last year I turned forty years old in the month of December and I decided to buy my own birthday gift. You see, I had been feeling broken, lost, and on the edge of making some very rash and absurd decisions. I was looking for something, anything to throw myself into to help ground me or give me hope. By simple chance, or perhaps destiny, I clicked through a link I found on one of the many blogs I read regularly. It led me to Melody Ross and the Brave Girls Club website.

I will tell you now that I cried and cried and cried some more while reading through some of Melody’s posts and watching her videos. I recognized myself in so much of what she shared and I knew – KNEW – that this woman had been where I’d been and made it out the other side. The universe had sent me to her because she would help me find me again. And you know what, she didn’t do it, I did. What Melody did do was provide the most splendid tools, the greatest inspiration and true motivation and unconditional love that I needed so badly. I did the creative and exciting work (I’m still doing the work…hehehe) and I realized I’m braver than I ever thought I could be… I’m worth so much more kindness and love than I have ever allowed myself to have all these years… and that I can shine very, very brightly doing what I love – even through all the layers of Mod Podge.

This workshop is the best gift I have ever given to myself. It is the gift of true restoration of the heart and soul. I highly recommend it to everyone, where ever they are in their lives. Melody, Kathy and the Brave Girls staff provide fabulous life tools that you will continue to value and use throughout your life journey. I encourage you to be a part of the next one where you can join Melody and other Brave Girls using a very unique and creative process to help restore the person you remember being. Dear Dawn,
We share so much more than just a name. We both were broken, we both gave this gift to ourselves and we have both come a long way to making our lives what we want. Thank you for sharing your story and being a soul sister.
